Closet Clean Up

We have lived in our new house for about a year now.  It is amazing how quickly things can get disorganized.  My closet still needs lots of work.  For one, I need new hangers.  I am just not willing to spend money on hangers right now though.  I have some nice ones picked out, but that will come later.  I organized the left side of my closet with shirts.  The shirts on the top are work shirts.  The shirts on the bottom are weekend shirts and tanks.

On the left side I have hoodies and sweatshirts on the top.  There are pants and jeans on the bottom.  Everything is in rainbow order, except my pants.  I haven't quite gotten there yet.

I am in the process of going through shoes and I still don't have a place for all of my flip flop collection.  Those are hiding under my clothes.  If anyone has a flip flop organization idea, please let me know.

Necklace and bracelet organization.

This is what I use to contain the flip flops. You can also get a round bin/basket and put them in there on the floor by the door.

  4. I'm not sure if this is an option, but I do my flip flops similarly to this, on my shoe rack!

  6. I love your closet! I've been looking for some great ideas for my own and found your link up on I Heart Organizing. I'm envious of your shoe rack and your jewelry shelf is museum worthy! I'm looking at switching to wooden hangers but the cost has me thinking twice as well. Great job!

  7. Andrea, Thank you so much for the kind words! I am a huge sale shopper and spending a hunch of money on hangers is my last priority. :) My husband built all of my closet shelves and shoe rack. We priced out some built in closet organizers and the prices were crazy!! Thanks again. :)

  9. P.S. I'm not sure what kind of hangers you are looking for but, they have some really sturdy white plastic ones with the grooving in them for difficult shirts to hang at Walmart for about $1 for a 10 pack.
