I have a storage room at my house and I have been working on getting it organized. A week ago you literally could not walk inside. That is always what happens about when school starts again. I am moving things back and forth from the classroom to home. Here are some updated organized photos.

All Moved In
Tonight it was pretty chilly so we decided to build our first fire in the new fireplace. There have been some other cold nights, but to be honest.....we really didn't want to get the new fireplace all dirty! :) Here are a few pictures of the big event!
Helping dad build the fire.
Yay!
Reading a book by the cozy fire....well it's almost out, but it was still cozy while it lasted.

Laundry Room
Our laundry room is complete. Now it just needs some decorating. I wanted lots of storage in the laundry room for cleaning supplies and blankets.
The laundry chuteI love doing laundry now that I have a functional laundry room. Of course the love doing laundry part will probably change once the excitement of a new laundry room wears off. But for now I am enjoying it! :)
Garage Clean Up
Here is my garage before......ugh!
More clutter........After.
Still a work in progress. I will post pictures of the totally finished garage soon. :)
Podog's New Doggie Station!!!
A good friend of mine gave my a scrapbook paper stand a while back with a missing drawer. It looked like this.
So I stuck some of my scrapbook stickers on it and used it to organize my dog Podog's supplies. At some point I am planning on painting it and decorating with dog bones possibly. But for now, it works just fine. Can you see how proud Podog is of his new station? :)I added one of my favorite framed photos of Podog too. This was a photo from when he was much younger. He is 12 now.
Here is what is inside his "treats" drawer.
His "style" drawer is filled with his favorite polo shirt and his Pedi Paws nail trimming kit.
The washing area has his towel, shampoo, and some great mango smelling dog spray! :)
A close up of the top of his doggie station.
I also added a rug under his dog dishes that he really seems to like. He went straight to it and started gobbling up his food.

Pinterest Office Inspiration
I am working on my office now amongst other things. I almost always go to Pinterest when I am in need of ideas. My husband and I have been saving up to build a house for many years. Throughout the years I have kept an organized binder divided into sections by rooms of the house (and the yard, garage, etc.). Every time I would come across something in a magazine or online I would rip it out or print it and put it in the binder. I had tons of stuff circled and notes all of the pictures. This helped a lot during our planning process. I grew impatient throughout this whole process, but looking back I can see there were many reasons why building a house a few years ago may not have been right for us. So, here we are! I want to share some beautiful offices I got off of the Pinterest website. I am pulling bits and pieces from each of them to use in my own office. Enjoy!

This one is just so clean. This person made a good use out of a small office space.
I love this one because it reminds me of my son. He is an excellent artist and this looks like something he could use in his room. I wish!
Wow! Incredible space!
Love the colors - white and tan.
This small desk in the center of the room is neat and different from anything I had thought of.
Wow! This office is super organized. Since I have a house full of boys I can totally appreciate all of this pink!
This one is very funky and bright!
I love, love this room! I especially love the shelves up at the top of the room. That is such good storage. The wrapping paper station is awesome! I thought about using several file cabinets as the base of my corner desk in my office and then having my husband cut wood for the desktop and then putting glass or plexiglass on top of that. This would save a ton of money. Most of the desks I have been looking at are over $1000.00 and I really cannot see paying that much. This is perfect! Look at the hanging cups for scissors and supplies. I got some similar ones from Ikea that I plan on using. That chalkboard on the wall is really nice too. Love the windows. Lots of natural light. The colors are calming and relaxing. There are so many things I love about this space as you can tell. What a great place to be!
I posted this one in my Expedit section on my blog, but I think it is double-postworthy! I would so love to have all of this storage space.
So calming and pretty!
Here is the same room as above with different lighting, paint color and carpet. Interesting! I like both of them and can't decide which one is best!
This is such an excellent use of space. I have always dealt with the dilemma of not have enough room or storage space. This is a great solution. You could even use an old entertainment center to store all of your craft supplies.

I Need Some Garage Help!
I am trying to figure out what to do with our garage. I have lots of ideas, but I am trying to make it functional for very little money! Here are some great organized garages I found on Pinterest.
Idea for ball and sports equipment storage.
Yes please!
I don't think this is a picture of anyones garage, but this is a great idea. I would really like to have a planting station.
More sports equipment storage.
I am so doing this for our car washing stuff!
My husband would love these cabinets.
I do have a couple of large cabinets that I got for free. I will be painting them soon and mounting them on the wall. This is going to be a BIG job! Can't wait to share photos when it is finished!
I like this because you can see if a tool or supply did not get put back.
Love the buckets and chalkboards.
